Generation "y"

When reading this artical it made me think l a lot more about our generation and who we are as whole. This quote, " millennials, born between 1982 and 2002, have been depicted more recently by employers, professors and earnestly concerned mental-health experts as entitled whiners who have been spoiled by parents who overstoked their self-esteem, teachers who granted undeserved A’s and sports coaches who bestowed trophies on any player who showed up. I think this statement is a hot-spot of the reading because it's a big opinion about our generation. I don't understand how they can the writer can have generalization's about our generation as a whole. Who gives the other generations the right to pass these judgement's when most generations of the past 60 years were brought up they same way for the most part besides the technology we have these days. "Sports coaches who bestowed trophies on any player who showed up", for a coach to give every player a trophy on a sports team is the right thing to do because showing up is what being part of a team is. Even if your not a starting player there is know "I" in team and it takes a whole team to get the time bigger. This was a point made that upset me very much because I'v been playing sports my whole life and even if your not the best player on  the team or a "starting player" it takes the team to get each other a better player through practice. National Association of Colleges and Employers. “Over 90 percent think they have a perfect résumé. The percentage who think they will have a job in hand three months after
graduation is now 57 percent. I have trouble understanding this because isn't this why we go through all this education? If its so hard to get a job after a 4 years of and expensive college career. There basically implying there system is not working. This was a very interesting read for me because it brought a lot of questions into my mind about me our country/world and our generation.
