ESCAPE
When I first starting watching escape I was very shocked and it made me think a lot of what how lucky we are to be born into this world with no body defects, diseases, or impairments. For someone to live like mike did for 30 years is very inspiring and makes me appreciate life and what have in my life more than ever. These video's all relate to the video cli of "escape" because they are all dealing with a problem or an issue of life. They all hit on points of challenges or tasks of a particular persons daily life. These video's can relate to writing through many ways. For instance, if I were to write a biography on mikes life, through his background before birth, to his life strugglers growing up almost 100 percent paralyzed; it would be a very intriguing paper and very inspiring for many. Their would be so many points and interesting aspects to mikes life I would want to write about, the paper would be never ending. Also, the other video's would make very good stories because they all deal with someone or people that are trying to overcome a particular feat in their lives.

Journal entry
Being a person in America that is part of generation Y I have learned some things about how past generations precieve our generation. Generation Y is depicted as lazy, spoiled, un-motivated, and materialistic. We a depicted as spoiled because we were born into a world when the economy was doing very well and our parents wanted us to have a very fulfilled life style just as they were brought up. Sometimes parents would over-buy their kids to many things, thus spoiling them. When kids are being brought up and ask for something that they want or crave and always get their way, their going to loose there morals of self-worth. We need to teach our children that if you truly want something you need to work for it and that it's just not going to be given to you. Generation Y is also considered to be the laziest generation yet. We are considered to be lazy because we were born into a time were everything is becoming more easier, "user" friendly. Technology has always been advancing since our generation started, bringing more video games, cell phones, microwaves, and so on. All of these factors can contribute to one becoming lazy. Why would one want to actually cook food when they can get it done four times a fast when using a microwave. Also, video games are a big factor because they are very entertaining and fun, without having to endure physical endurance. We are also considered to be very un-motivated when coming to academics and our work-ethics. People say that our public school system is failing and that our teacher's are not pushing their students enough. Teachers are giving their students passing grades so they will not have to deal with them again. All of these points our factors on why and how our generation Y is getting labeled as, lazy, spoiled, un-motivated, and materialistic. Our country as a whole has reasoning for making this generation the way it is. All past three generations have some input of why generation Y is what it is today.

Ghost story
It was October 21st, in a small town in Texas called Boonsville. Back in the early 1930's a serial killer ran a killing spree almost destroying the whole city. On the last night of his killing spree the killer named Ben Dover, set fire to all of the city's government buildings along with their county jail. This caused straight mayhem for the town of Boonsville because many of the prisoners in the county jail broke free. When the inmates were running wild they rapped and killed children and women, and also went after minorities of the town. We later learned that Ben Dover set fire to all of these facilities not for his own personal pleasure, but to distract the police from hunting him down. He knew that when the inmates were running wild through the town causing all sorts of problems that he would have his chance for his final move. Once the heat was off of Mr. Dover he went for the final move of his plan which was to kill the town mayor David Simpkin. He knew after he set the Mr. Simpkin's office on fire that he would be deported back to his house where Mr. Dover would be waiting for him. Mr. Simpkin arrived at his house miles out of town he was by himself because he ordered all police and fire departments to respond on immediately to aid the town and that his safety was not relevant. Once the Mr. Simpkin entered his house hold Mr. Dover was waiting for him. Mr. Dover murdered Mr. Simpkin in a very violent non-human way which disturbed the town and Mr. Simpkins family very much.
Ben Dover was born in Boonsville Texas along with both of his parents who met in high school that he also attended. He grew up having a very nice childhood, very supportive family who always provided for when ever he was in a time of need. When Ben was a junior in high school his parents were driving back from a family friends when their car got struck by a pick-up truck and t-boned them into a tree killing both instantly. After this indecent Ben became very quite and lonely; after he graduated high school he lived in his parents old house and took over the family business. He was the only one in his family to live in Texas so he didnt have many vistors besides concerning work related issues.
David Simpkin the mayor was a very religious traditional man that didn't like other influences on his town and hated change. He was a man that stuck to his word but sometimes his word wasn't what people agreed with. He did his job with the utmost honor because he wanted to keep the town of Boonsville happy and safe, since he was a Boonsville local growing up as well. The way he ran the town was very old fashioned and some people didnt agree with some of his movements but they never faught to get him out of office. He had moral's that we do not have today especially when it came to becoming an publicly elected official. He belived that his town always needed a person who was republican, who believes in Christianity, and who was a married man, he was a very stern man when it came to his beliefs. These could be some of the reasons that Mr. dover wanted to murder Mr. Simpkin.
Eighty years later John Boss who was a Boonsville Texas local was running for town mayor. Now, the town of Boonsville is still somewhat the same from how Mr. Simpkin left it. Mr. Boss who was a democrat and who is part of generation Y had many new views on how he could help the town progress in area's were it lacked motivation. He was very liberal man and had a different out look on the world and his town that many people in Boonsville that did not. He studied at California Berkeley university, which Berkeley as a city is a city of change and new ways, to some people a new beginning. This is where Mr. Boss defiantly got his different perspective on what the world is today. Many ways people live their lives on a normal basis today would be absoulutly apppauling to Mr. Simpkin and the old town of Boonsville Texas. One night two weeks before election date Mr. boss was in his studying going over some thoughts and speeches for the election. He started to feel this sense of someone watching him, as if there was someone in the room with him. After he looked out the window he began back to his study's. Suddenly a rock comes flying through his window and he stands up with great fear in his eye's. He runs outside to see who could have thrown the rock but there was no one to be seen. After a couple hours of going over his speeches he gets sleepy and decides to get ready for bed. As he is walking down his hallway he gets that sense of someone following him to the bathroom but there was no one to be seen. As he enters the bathroom the door slams behind him and a man appears from the mirror. The man that came from the mirror was Mr. Simpkin. He did not look he was in the clothing he was wearing the night of the murder which had blood all over it. He begins talking to Mr. Boss," you are going to win this election, but I cannot let that happen." Mr Boss asks "why not?" Mr. Simpkin reply's " you are to open minded for a town like Boonsville, I put my heart and sole into this town and even got brutally murdered for it. I do not like where your morals come from and also I do not like what changes your are going to make to this town. You are a person with no morals's like us old folk, we used to practice respects and dedication. You are part of a generation that is spoiled and un-motivated and I cant let those atributes relfect on the city I gave my life too." Mr. boss reply's "who are where did you come from why are you in my house." Mr. Simpkin reply's " I'am here to kill you Mr. boss, you are not married, what you are going to bring to this city is not going to be for the better and I need to take care of it," the man vanishes. Right when the man left the room Mr. Boss died of an un-known caused heart attack. He was later found in his house the next day by his election comity. He was pronounced dead by natural cause but to this day stories of Mr. Simpkin are still out there and if you get in the way of his city, he will get in the way of your life. .

Gamblers: I choose the word "gamblers" because some of the research I have done shows that past generations think we are risky. That we don't think things through as much as we should and that we bring on unnecessary problems to our own lives and also others.
Entrepreneurs: Generation Y is a generation of entrepreneurs, we strive to invent new idea's and also strive to improve past idea's. We are a generation that is always progressing through technology; which past generations couldn't do because they did not have the resources that we have today.
New: New is a good word to think of when thinking about generation Y because everything that we bring to America is "new." Generation Y is starting to enter the work-force, and bringing with them many new idea's and new ways of doing things to America's work-force.
Radical: I picked radical as one the words to describe generation y because many of the scholarly articles I used for research on generation y had many arguments how our judgments as a generation are "radical," that we make fast paced decisions with out thinking of the bigger picture.
Amplifiers: Generation Y amplifies the work-force of today in many ways. We are bringing in more minorities because generation y is the largest inter-racial generation in the history of the United States. Also, we are bringing in more workers than any other past generation, which amplifies the work-force.
Technology: Generation Y is the most technologically-advanced generation ever. Growing up in this new day-n-age makes one become's way more advanced with technology; compared to generation x who was born into a world with-out television.
Intelligent: Some of the articles that I did some research on stated from an IQ testing stand point, that we are the smartest generation yet. Generation Y being the most ethnically-diverse generation might have some reasoning why this statistic is true.
Opinion: I picked opinion as one of the words to describe generation Y because we are a very outgoing out-spoken generation. We like the world to know whats on our minds constantly. We have things such as facebook, myspace, twitter, blogging, and many other programs to help us get the word out and stay connected.
Narcotic: Narcotic is a good word to explain how generation Y has not necessarily bad impulse problems but does have a "big impulse" when certain issues are brought to hand. We are a very outgoing generation with many new idea's and ways of living.
Young: Young is the perfect way to describe our generation because we are the newcomers in this world. We are the youngest of the workers joining to workforce and we need to learn as we go because generation Y is young
